Brighton: A Quick Seaside Break from London

24Apr

Getting to Brighton from London is really very easy and cheap, and a great way to discover one of the UK’s biggest seaside towns. A straight train from Central London takes just over an hour to get there, but you won’t find a sandy beach – it’s all smooth, round pebbles.

A landmark of Brighton is the big Brighton Pier, which hosts a large arcade with games for all ages, and whilst here you can peer out across the sea to see a large stretch of the south cost of Britain.

Whether you are looking for something new and exciting to dod in London, or just curious as to what is available, these exciting activities are definitely some of the best to consider. Located all over the city, they will help you discover hidden treasures, or teach you some new tips to help you in life.

Matcha in London

30Jan

Matcha is a growing trend across the world, and is a special type of Green tea which is often dried and grounded into a powder form. It comes in several forms, including tea, lattes, and even cakes and ice cream. These are the best locations across London where you can find these amazing matcha-filled treats.

Notes

If you’ve not tried Matcha before, Notes is a good place to go to start out. They have two locations in Central London, one near Trafalgar Square and a second near Covent Garden, which is great for those travelling around the city. They also do use a little bit of sugar in their drinks making it a little easier to drink and less bitter.

The Covent Garden branch can be found at 30 St Martin’s Lane.

Tombo Cafe

If you’re looking for a more authentic, Japanese experience of Matcha, then Tombo cafe is probably a better bet. They have Japanese-style tea sets that you can take home as well as a variety of Japanese desserts and drinks you can try.

They can be found at 28 D’Arblay Street.

Lagu

One of our top picks, Lagu is an amazing experience. The Matcha Latte here is full of flavour and so easy to drink, and if you’re looking for an extra kick you can ask for additional matcha! They also have plenty of reading material around, and plenty of plants to keep the air clean.

They can be found at 151 Lavender Hill, Clapham Junction

Milk Train Cafe

If you’ve not tried a Matcha Ice Cream, then now is the time. The Milk Train Cafe offers amazing soft-serve ice creams with clouds of candy floss around them. They look pretty and taste absolutely delicious too!

They can be found at 44 Bedford Street
