On Sunday 23rd June, the Belgrave Square Garden for the third time will hold the Belgravia Classic Car Show. Continuing on from the success of last year’s show, the private square will open to the public from 10am until 5pm for a motoring garden party. There will be a showcase of almost 300 of the world’s top classic and historic cars to peruse, spanning over the last eight decades.
Some of the cars that will be on display include:
1912 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud
In 1912, Rolls-Royce Bombay ordered the car to be used as a Trials Car to attract the lucrative Indian market. The car was fitted with several special features which can still be seen today, and after six months as a Trials Car, the Maharaja of Nabha admired the car and bought her at the end of 1913. Having remained in their family for over 70 years, it was then recently purchased by Tim Forrest who began conserving and restoring the car to its former glory.
1981 Lancia Montecarlo Series Two Spyder
Untouched and in its original condition with only service parts replaced over the past 38 years. This is one of only 40 cars left in the UK, and one of only six still on the road.
1990 Ferrari Testarossa
A fabulous car, considered an icons of the 90s and a modern day classic. You’ve seen it on posters, now see it in real life.
1998 Ferrari 550 Michael Schumacher
Previously owned by the artist Damien Hirst, this car is a limited edition Carrozzeria Scagliettie Ferrari Michael Schumacher Edition.
Alongside the cars there will be live music performances throughout the day, and a range of food stalls that will offer a variety of cuisines. There’ll be a pop-up photo booth to capture great memories from the day. A competition will be running for Best In Show, where they will receive a trophy sponsored by Sotheby’s.
